August - September

Dear Diary,

If I had to find an expression to describe these last 2 months I would say "Research Madness". I'm gonna use this expression later on, so keep that in mind.

Here a brief summary of what happened in the past months.

Moving to Trondheim, Norway

This is going to be my last post from the US. My advisor is moving to Norway, and I would following to the end of the world cause he is simply the best. What's the purpose of staying here if I cannot work with him?

Effective 15th of November, I will start working for NTNU

In case some Italian friend is reading this, I will land in Venice Sat. 24th and if I am negative to COVIDDI I should be able to say hi to some of you

 I am an uncle!

Exactly, my sister got a baby (she's obviously spamming pics all over the family communication media) and I can't wait to see her, she is so puffy!

Last Lake Tahoe trip

This was probably one of the best days at the lake ever. A full day swimming, juggling, hand standing and climbing up of dangerous hills bare foot.

This is me saying "I'm fine":

It rained

Unbelievably, it did. It NEVER rains in Nevada, but that one single day was absolutely incredible. And what were the chances that I could immortalize the moment !? Simply beautiful

My first accepted paper

After 6 months of really hard work, I submitted an early result of my current research topic, entitled "Collision-Tolerant Autonomous Navigation through Manhole-Sized Confined Environments" to the IEEE International Symposium on Safety, Security, and Rescue Robotics (SSRR) 2020. And I got accepted!

This is promising and satisfying at the same time: seems like not everything I am doing is wrong after all lol
